Pitblado Law welcomes three new partners - Nicole Smith, Natalie Roberts and Courtney Pope.

Winnipeg’s Pitblado Law has announced three new partners at their firm: Nicole Smith, Natalie Roberts and Courtney Pope.

Smith’s interest in the law was sparked during an exchange to San Luis Potosi, Mexico where she had the opportunity to intern in the Human Rights Commission of San Luis Potosi. She received her law degree from the University of Manitoba in 2012 and became an Associate at Pitblado Law in June 2013. Shee practices primarily in the areas of Labour and Employment Law and Human Rights.

Roberts is fluently bilingual and has been a practicing lawyer in Winnipeg for over 11 years, exclusively in the area of Family Law. She is a member of Collaborative Practice Manitoba and has successfully completed advanced mediation training. She also has completed extensive arbitration training through the National Family Law Arbitration course. Natalie is a firm believer in family disputes being resolved by engaging in an alternative dispute resolution method.

Pope has extensive experience in advising clients with respect to all matters of tax, estate planning and corporate commercial matters. In particular, she provides guidance to her clients relating to: corporate tax planning, personal tax planning, structuring of business operations, sales and purchases of businesses, corporate reorganizations, distribution planning, implementation and use of family trusts, succession planning and inter-generational transfers of businesses, personal estate planning and estate administration including drafting of testamentary documents, shareholder disputes and dispute resolution advice with Canada Revenue Agency.
