World Trade Centre Winnipeg announced on Dec. 22 that André Brin will become the organization’s next CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2023.
“The board of directors is very pleased to have André lead World Trade Centre Winnipeg as it continues its important role of serving and helping Manitoba businesses grow and connect globally,” said JP Perron, chair of World Trade Centre Winnipeg. “André and his team have demonstrated a strong ability to partner with Manitoba businesses seeking to expand locally, nationally and internationally. Growing Manitoba’s economy is always our primary driver at World Trade Centre Winnipeg and we have exciting growth plans underway including relocating to 200 Portage with the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce and CentrePort Canada.”
Brin joined World Trade Centre Winnipeg as director of communications in September 2021. He was named interim CEO in March 2022 after the departure of former CEO Mariette Mulaire.
“I’m honoured and proud to be confirmed in this role by the World Trade Centre Winnipeg board of directors,” said Brin. “We have a great team that is actively engaged with our customers, partners, industry stakeholders and funders. I am extremely fortunate to have a talented team around me including directors Natalie Courcelles Beaudry and Vivian Gosselin. Collectively, we are all passionate about supporting Manitoba companies of all sizes and industry and we look forward to what lies ahead for World Trade Centre Winnipeg.”
