Manitoba-based Brandish Agency has announced it is merging with Edmonton’s RED The Agency, bringing RED under the Brandish umbrella.
According to Brandish, they had explored possible mergers with other Canadian creative agencies but hadn’t found the right fit until they met RED. Informal talks regarding a merger began in 2019, and then both organizations reconnected in 2022 after working independently through the pandemic. The companies began working together in 2023.
“As time went on, the fit was natural and we began working on clients collaboratively. Once it became clear that our relationship was having a positive impact on clients, the decision became easy and the merger process began,” says Derek Elliott, managing director & partner at Brandish.
Founded in 2016, Brandish provided marketing services to clients in Manitoba and Ontario. In 2023, the company repositioned itself as a creative agency. RED The Agency was founded in 2001 in Edmonton and led by principal Lori Billey and strategist Randy Cronin.
“This merger is an exciting opportunity for us. Clients are always seeking best-in-class solutions, and we’re making that happen as a unified team. As a “challenger brand” ourselves, we are now better equipped to support national and local brands alike,” said Billey with the announcement.
